The easiest way to secure your trip with us is to book online. This will hold your trip space and price, and send your request to our team, who will confirm the trip plus review your requirements and contact you with any additional services you’ve asked for such as flights or extra nights. Read on for more details about how this process works and what happens next.

How to book online

Follow these steps to book online and hold your trip space and price:
  1. Go to the 'Dates, prices and booking' section of the trip page and check the availability of your selected date. If there are limited places, it will often say how many spaces are remaining.
  2. Select 'Book now'. (If the button says 'on request' this mean we'll need some more details before we can book your trip - this is often on last minute bookings where we'll need to check additional things like the availability of visas and permits. For these trips you'll be taken to a form to capture your details and we'll contact you).
  3. You'll then be asked for your requirements including the number of passengers, what sort of room you'd like and additional questions like whether you'd like pre- or post- tour accommodation and flights included.
  4. At step 3 of the checkout you'll be asked for the details of all the passengers. All fields with a * are compulsory so must be completed in order to proceed.
  5. Once you have reviewed the legal checkboxes and communications preferences and selected 'Confirm details', that will create your booking on our system.
  6. At the review stage, please check your details and choose from the dropdown whether you want to pay the 10% deposit or the full guide price. If you choose to pay the deposit and then decide not to proceed with your booking within 14 days, we'll refund your deposit (more details below).

What happens next?

After we've received your booking, we'll review your booking and confirm the place(s) on the trip. We will also review your additional requirements and contact you with flight and hotel prices if requested. Please be patient, especially during busy sale times, and give us a few days to review your request and get back to you.

If you said yes to discussing flights, we'll send you a flight-inclusive package quote with details of your flight options. We'll create these based on your preferred airport and try to include any other flight preferences you requested such as different travel dates, direct options, upgrades.

If you didn't ask for flight quotes but change your mind later, we can quote for flights after your trip place is booked.

Wanted pre- or post- tour accommodation? We'll also let you know your options and quote for this when we contact you.

14-day refundable deposits

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and flexible booking options. With our Explore Flex policies, you have flexibility over your online booking with us.

We'll contact you with your flight price after you make your online booking. Don't want to proceed? You'll have 14 days in which you can cancel if the flights aren't what you're expecting and we'll refund the deposit you paid online in full. (Please note this doesn't apply to bookings that we've already confirmed with flights or where our team have advised you that a non-refundable deposit has been taken, late bookings that are 'on request' or bookings travelling within 70 days of departure). 

Alternatively, you can swap your option to another trip or different dates for free.
