As a child, Carmel was always fascinated by travel. That fascination grew into a lifelong passion, one she has spent more than 26 years pursuing professionally. Carmel’s true happy place is the water – whether swimming, diving, or snorkelling – all these activities bring her joy. It’s no surprise, then, that some of her favorite destinations lie in the world’s most remote, water‑shaped landscapes. The polar regions hold a special place in her heart, as the vast silence, stark beauty, and extraordinary wildlife create a sense of remoteness she finds captivating.
